Automotive Organisations

EASN is involved with many strategic, high-level automotive organisations.  Please see below for a brief overview of some of these key organisations.  If you require further information, please click on the relevant link to be taken to the organisation’s home page.

  • CLEPA – the European Association of Automotive Suppliers promotes the interests of the European automotive supply industry.  This global Tier-1 organisation is very focused on regulation.  www.clepa.eu
  • ACEA – the European Automobile Manufacturers Association is an economic interest grouping which promotes the needs and issues of its 15 European OEM members, with a focus on legislation. www.acea.be/index/php
  • EUCAR – the European Council for Automotive Research and Development is a specific body focusing on collaborative automotive and road development. www.eucar.be/
  • SMMT – the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders is the voice of the automotive industry, promoting the results of the automotive industry forum to stakeholders, government.  www.smmt.co.uk/home.cfm
  • ERTRAC – the European Road Transport Research Advisory Council mobilises stakeholders to co-ordinate research resources and overcome the challenges to road transport. www.ertrac.org/
